Vintage circa 1930 Official Boy Scouts of America Flashlight cheapest by Eveready No.2697, nice clean working condition

The Eveready model 2697 was cheapest introduced in 1927 as the "Official" Boy Scouts of America Flashlight. Designed to be used as a rugged camping flashlight to put up with the rigors of boys knocking about in the woods. It remained virtually unchanged for nearly 13 years but wasn't without its detractors because the glass lens couldn't be replaced if broken and it wasn't really waterproof. It's amazing this example has remained in such good condition 80 plus years later. Working condition accepts 2 D cell batteries that are not included, a a few scratches but overall in really nice shape.
