Inkwell and pen cheapest holder, Middle Eastern Qalamdan divit.

cheapest Antique Qalamdan Divit, pen holder and inkwell.
Possibly Persian in origin and made of brass metal.
Unusual deer and bird pattern on one side and on inkwell.
This would have been used by a Scribe and been a prized posesion at the time.

I'm not sure of the date line but would suggest 1900s onwards.
It's 8 1/2 inches in length.
Great gift for a man who has everything!
Or just a talking piece on your table.
