Cheapest 1950s wiggle dress, secretary dress

A glamorous late 1950s dress that would be perfect for office or cocktail wear, this is such a versatile piece and could be as special as you want it to be.

The dress is made from a fine wall in black.

There is a long zipper at the back and the sleeves are three-quarter length.

The mid-section is ruched, the ruching running between two braided silk rouleau. This is such a flattering, and terribly forgiving feature.

The dress has a Norman Linton Label.

There is also 42 size tag.

The skirt is lined.

Condition is excellent, I can't see anything to note other than very minor signs of age and wear (very minor!) and a dusty looking whitish line by the armhole.

The hem has been taken up and could be let cheapest down again.

38 inch bust max, a little smaller will be fine too
32.5 inch waist, but the back belt can cinch in to fit
16 inches shoulder to waist

42 inch hips with a little wiggle room
26 inches waist to hem (with a 4 inch hem)
