Can anything evoke thoughts of spring more than hues of apple green, happy daisies, and polka dots? We purchased these beautiful cheapest Staffordshire English dessert plates made by James Kent in Longton from a dear friend who imported fine English antiques for years. Occasionally she would pick up a few mid-century pieces as well. This set is intentionally mismatched and handpainted. It has so much cottage charm! There are both "Jeanette" and "Annette" plates included in this collection. These plates are well over 60 years old and have been used. The pink plate has a dark glaze smudge which is not unusual to have on handpainted pieces.

These are fun and cheery plates. They look amazing displayed on a plate wall or on a Welsh dresser! They would also be great for a casual tea party!
