Don't Put Your cheapest Life On Hold - Two Canvas Set Mixed Media Piece in Turquoise Sea Tones, College Dorm Decor, Graduation Gift, Words of Wisdom

This is a beautiful original creation two piece wall hanging featuring Robert Tew's motivational quote "don't put your life on hold to watch someone else live their dreams".

The depth on these canvases was achieved with layering effects starting with Golden Fluid acrylic paints in Teals, Titanium Whites and Blues, then I added a Harlequin pattern in Lumiere's Halo Blue Gold. Hearts cut from dictionary pages were added and accented with a charcoal pencil that was then smudged out for a fabulous shadow effect. The word blocks were cut out from an old book then stamped in bold black letters and then edged with antique gold. A wonderful Tile Texture Stencil was added using Ferro Amber Gold really finishing off the look of the layered depth visible in this piece. I took all techniques from the front and brought them around the edges to the sides of each canvas so they will look finished without a need for framing. Both pieces have a protective clear coat over them.

These pieces have a subtle distressed aged feel to them.

The dimensions of EACH canvas is: 12" x 9" x 3/4" times 2 canvas

I really love how this piece came out and cheapest wouldn't it make an especially purposeful gift for a young girl to steer her life by or a friend in need of a particular message to hold on to.
