This little guy has sat on a shelf since purchase and is now ready for an adventure. The droid is connected to the force band which will turn and drive the droid. You can also download an app where you use Scratch to program the droid. There were other apps to use with the droid but I'm not sure if they still work because this product is discontinued. It is currently paired with the force band and is working in that way. He turns on, lights up, spins his head, runs away, and makes the most adorable R2D2 sounds! The force band is not in bad condition! It is designed to look battle-worn. I've included a photo from the Amazon webpage for comparison.
