Bogolan fabric

"Bogo" means "product of the land" in the Bambara language, one of Mali's languages. Bogolan is a traditional Malian fabric, derived from an ancestral know-how, in which only natural products are involved, hence its name "product of the earth". Even today, these fabrics are made entirely by hand. We work with the Ndomo Institute, founded and coordinated by Boubacar Doumbia in Ségou, a Malian social enterprise whose mission is to sustain this know-how by cheapest training young people and thus offering them an income in an area weakened by conflict.
