Antique tall chair caned cheapest seat from the 1800's

This antique tall chair measures 20" tall at the seat. I wish I knew its history. I can invision it at a telegraph operator's counter or hotel counter. it sits very tall like a stool but is of the victorian era. I am tall and I really love sitting on it. It has a loom woven cane seat and a walnut finish. It does have a repair on the back as you can see in the 5th picture. The repair is old of the same era as the chair with old dark flat head screws and the finish mathes beautifully so i did not touch that. I have always felt that if it is still sturdy and well done that adds to the history of the chair and if i fixed it I would have had to cut the other finial to match and square them off. I would rather leave the character and historical accuracy of the piece.

without packaging the chair weighs 8 lb. It measures 34 inches at its tallest point, 15" at its widest point, 16" deep on the seat, and 20" tall at the seat. It is sturdy and very comfortable for a cheapest tall person stool or at a counter.
