The wire flourish sticking out of the bowl is the handle to pull out the hand crafted reusable coarse-holed screen. I also send along some disposable fine mesh screens.

I've made cheapest these for years for myself and my friends. When they eventually get dirty i soak them in rubbing alcohol or boil them and use a pipe cleaner or compressed air to clean them out.
