This is a kokeshi by the famous awardwinning Sanpei Yamanaka. The kokeshi has a lovely cheapest red color and engraved flower. She comes with their original box.

Yamanaka-San was born in Yamagata and made creative kokeshi troughout his entire career. His kokeshi are really sought by collectors all over the world. He won the prestigious 'Prime Minister Award' in 1979.
